Organizational Changes in ALFA |

Monterrey, N.L., Mexico, March 10, 2010.- ALFA, S.A.B. de C.V. (ALFA), the Mexican company headquartered in this city, announced that its Board of Directors met today and approved certain organizational changes.
Dionisio Garza, ALFA’s Chairman of the Board and CEO, announced his decision to retire from the company effective today. The Board accepted this decision highlighting the great contribution
Mr. Garza made to ALFA during the 35 years he worked for the company, the last 16 of which in his current position. According to the decision made by the Board during the February 10, 2010 meeting, Armando Garza Sada was appointed new Chairman.
During today’s meeting, the Board named Alvaro Fernandez Garza as ALFA’s new President. Mr. Fernandez has been working for ALFA over the past 19 years. He currently served as President of Sigma Alimentos. Previous to that, he occupied several executive positions within the company, such as Sigma’s Commercial Director, Terza’s President and other posts at Alestra and the Corporate Staff. Alvaro Fernandez graduated from Notre Dame and has MBA degrees from both Tecnologico de Monterrey and Georgetown University.
Mario Paez González, currently ALFA’s CFO, was appointed as Sigma Alimentos’ new President in substitution of Alvaro Fernandez. Mr. Paez will continue to coordinate activities in ALFA’s financial area until a new CFO is named, which is expected to happen in a short period of time.
